Winery Lane

In May 1942, the Japanese invaders launched the Zhejiang-Jiangxi Campaign and perpetrated horrific germ warfare in the Jinhua region. Three years after disappearing without a word, Tang Zhenhua, an underground Communist Party member, returned to the Winery Lane on a special mission. His sudden reappearance shattered the peaceful life of his former love Jin Jiumei. By piecing together clues from her father's dying words and Tang Zhenhua's feverish unconscious murmurs, Jin Jiumei succeeded in deciphering the secret contact codes used between her father and Tang Zhenhua. With this knowledge, she helped him locate a batch of vital "plague serum" left behind by the retreating "Taiwan Hospital." Under the cover of fellow underground Party members, Tang Zhenhua successfully transported the serum to the anti-Japanese base in eastern Zhejiang. This crucial delivery saved the lives of numerous soldiers and civilians, bringing "Operation Yu Meiren" to a complete and successful conclusion.
