Myths of China’s Ethnic Groups

This series of books is a collection of the myths of all ethnic groups in China. Containing the mythological stories of China's 56 ethnic groups, the books are compiled and recorded according to ethnic categories. It strives to be as comprehensive and detailed as possible, filling the gap in domestic publications. The editors delved deep into the settlements of various ethnic groups in China. After many years of on-the-spot investigations, field collections, and data gathering, they have exhaustively collected the creation myths, flood myths, celestial body myths, and hero myths of each ethnic group. Most of the content is collated from oral narrations, maximizing the retention of the dialectal characteristics of the places where these myths are circulated. It comprehensively and vividly showcases the features of ancient Chinese myths and holds high cultural value.
